So, I could not wait to read the next book in this series, well six-part-series-turned-into-a-duology. This is the second book I am reading for a review tour! This post will include teasers and links!

Title: Deception So Dark (Run To You #2)

Author: Clara Kensie

Genre: Young Adult/ Thriller/ Supernatural Romance

My rating: 99%, 5/5

Source: YA Bound Book Tours

Originally published as the Run to You serial parts 4-6— Fourth Shadow, Fifth Touch, and Sixth Sense.

Deception So Dark is the complete second novel in the Run to You series, a riveting thriller about a family on the run from a deadly past, and a first love that will transcend secrets, lies and danger…

With no more secrets to keep them apart, Tessa and Tristan embark upon a desperate search to find her missing brother and sister. But not even Tristan can keep Tessa safe from the hostile classmates at her new school…or from the nightmare that haunts her even while she’s awake. As Tessa’s nightmare becomes all too real, her hope of getting her family back together feels ever more out of reach. When a psychic warns her that leaving town may mean her death, Tessa still cannot stay when she uncovers a potential lead to her brother and sister. Not even if she must go alone and risk losing it all: Tristan, her family, and even her life.

Run to You is Tessa and Tristan’s story—two full-length books about psychic gifts, secret lives and dangerous loves. Danger. Deception. Betrayal. It must be true love.

(Because this is the review for the second book and I already have the review up for the first one, there will be a few spoilers from book one. So, SPOILER ALERT!!!)

OMG, okay, so I was FURIOUS when we found out about Tristan! I mean, I kind of suspected it since the beginning….but that thing about her PARENTS??!! Dear God.

So, this book is mainly about Tristan and Tessa getting back on track and its about finding out where Jillian and Logan are. There was action, betrayal and as usual, amazing romance. I am doing this review after a long time since finishing the book, so my thoughts and feels aren’t so fresh in my mind. This book really brought the story to its breaking point. Literally. There were some parts where I was just fed up with all the things Tessa was going through.

Of course, the writing and story was great. I enjoyed how everything happened and the ending was perfectly satisfying. Everybody got what they deserved ;). But not everybody had a happy ending. #sovague.

Overall, I had so much fun reading this thrilling cannot-put-down series. Highly, highly, highly recommended!! 🙂

About the Author:

Clara Kensie, author of dark fiction for young adults

...don’t forget to breathe...

Clara Kensie grew up near Chicago, reading every book she could find and using her diary to write stories about a girl with psychic powers who solved mysteries. She purposely did not hide her diary, hoping someone would read it and assume she was writing about herself. Since then, she’s swapped her diary for a computer and admits her characters are fictional, but otherwise she hasn’t changed one bit.

Today Clara is the author of dark fiction for young adults. Her debut, the super-romantic thriller RUN TO YOU (First Sight, Second Glance Third Charm), is a 2015 RITA double finalist in two categories: best Young Adult Romance and Best First Book.

Clara’s favorite foods are guacamole and cookie dough. But not together. That would be gross.
