Title: No Kissing Allowed

Author: Melissa West

Genre: New Adult Romance

My rating: 88.75%, 3.9/5

Source: Entangled Publishing

Synopsis:

Armed with her besties, an embarrassing number of shots, and her list of 10 Wild Things To Do Before Adulthood, recent grad Cameron Lawson is partying it up before she starts her dream job at New York’s biggest ad agency. Her last task?  Hook up with a random guy. And while it’s so not her style, the super-sexy guy sitting next to her is definitely game. No names. No details.

At least, that was the plan.

On her first day of work, Cameron discovers her hook-up is none other than Aidan Truitt—her new boss’s boss. Talk about failing the “no fraternizing with coworkers” policy on an epic level. Especially when Aidan makes it clear their one night was only the beginning. Falling for him could cost her everything, but sometimes the only way to get what you want is by breaking a few rules…

MY REVIEW

In general –

This book was a nice one-time romance kind of read. Cameron is officially an adult and she wants to have one fun night before adulthood kicks in. Her night goes a little crazy after having a one night stand with a guy. Wow. The next day, she finds out that the guy is her new boss. Well, boss’ boss. But still. The horror. Dear God.

So, I enjoyed it….didn’t love it exactly. It didn’t impress me. I pretty much knew what would happen. See, this is why I stay away from NA. All the storylines always seem familiar and everything is been-there-done-that. Either way, I won’t diss this book cuz I particularly enjoy books that have a hilariously horrifying twist to them.

This one was a sweet/ passionate love story. I guarantee you will fly through it. It was also pretty straightforward with minimal drama. I would even go as far as to say it was a very toned down NA novel. Please tell you all agree.

This book also made me realize that no matter what circumstance you are in, if you truly love someone, it WILL work out. I figured this story would appeal more to those people who have actually been in these types of situations or at least have encountered at some point.

Bottom line, easy to read, funny, charming and very satisfying! 😀

Now lets get in depth here, shall we?

In depth –

Wow, this is literally going to be a two para discussion cuz I have nothing much to say. I liked all the parts where we see Aidan and the whole chunk where he comes over for Thanksgiving and the way he bonds with his family.

I was almost expecting mommy/daddy issues. There had gotta some reason why he acts closed off and doesn’t want the relationship. Hmm..

The whole Alexa thing really threw me off. I had pegged her down as the customary “work best friend”. She turned out to be kind of a bitch. Good job, Melissa West!

There were some stagnant moments in the book which were kinda boring but the cute ending made up for it!

Thats all I wanna say…
