Crystal Frost has spent her whole life believing she’s ordinary, and her mother has long held the secret of her heritage. When Crystal begins seeing the ghost of a dead classmate, her life spirals out of control. She’s faced with the threat that everyone will find out she’s a freak, as if the struggle to figure out her new-found abilities wasn’t enough pressure. Crystal has to find some way to save the people who have come to her for help all while trying to keep her abilities a secret. Will she be able to fulfill these overwhelming demands while solving the mystery that is the ghost of Olivia Owen?
This book was so unique. I mean, I read this in the middle of a reading slump – you know, the time when you feel like every book is lame – and actually liked it! I didn’t love it, so to speak, but it was for sure something you don’t see often. This book was a mix between the usually, paranormal, I-see-dead-people and clairvoyant psychics. Wow.
Crystal has been having visions (don’t they all) and she is freaked out a little bit. But she soon finds out a secret about her mom that is even more creepy. There is some mystery and suspense.
It was, for the most part, interesting and I can say that it was also never-done-before. You would understand if you read the book. Which means, that yes, I would recommend this book, but only if you like: those dusty settings + unusual circumstances + a little bit of cutesy, light parts + psychics and crystal balls.
The psychics on this book were different than the other ones. Each one has a different ability. It was pretty cool. My favorite clairvoyant book is still The Raven Cycle, but if you are into that genre, you should try this book.
Umm, thats it I guess. Hehe. Sorry, my reviews are so short these day. I am in a terrible reading slump and along with being crazy busy, reading has taken a backseat. :(.
Anyway, hope you liked it, and byeeee!!! 🙂
